At least 137 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the ceasefire agreement took effect on January 19, according to local authorities.
Salama Marouf, head of Gaza’s government media office, accused Israel of deliberately intensifying attacks on Palestinians in violation of the ceasefire.
The latest incident involved an Israeli airstrike that targeted a group of civilians in central Gaza, killing five, including two brothers.
The strike occurred in the Netzarim area near Gaza City’s southeastern border. Witnesses reported that an Israeli drone hit a group of Palestinians near a destroyed house, bringing the death toll since the ceasefire began to 137.

Meanwhile, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported a higher death toll of 150 Palestinians, with 605 others injured.
The ongoing violence follows a brutal Israeli campaign on Gaza since October 2023, which has claimed the lives of over 48,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
The ceasefire, which included a prisoner swap agreement, paused the attacks in January but has not stopped the deadly assaults.
