50-Year-Old Man Crushed By Train in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has verified that a 50-year-old man named Emmanuel was crushed to death by a moving train.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command spokesperson, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

Hundeyin stated that the incident occurred on Tuesday around 9:00 am at the ARENA Shopping Complex area in Oshodi.

He mentioned that a woman, who identified herself as the younger sister of the deceased, brought the case to the attention of the Mosafejo Police Division.

The PPRO further explained that the woman informed them that she received a phone call indicating that her older brother was reportedly struck by a moving train while walking along the track.

Hundeyin noted that, based on the report, a team of detectives visited the scene and took photographs while the body was moved to a public morgue for a post-mortem examination.

The case has been transferred to the Railway Police Command in Ebute-Metta for additional investigation.
