President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala, the spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign, as his Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media.
Bwala, an accomplished lawyer and prominent analyst on public affairs, will now oversee strategic media communications for the State House.
This was disclosed in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, dated Thursday, November 14, 2024.
In addition to Daniel Bwala’s new advisory role, Tinubu has appointed three directors-general to head major national agencies.
The appointees include Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission. With extensive experience in sports administration, Olopade previously served as youth and sports commissioner in Ogun State and chaired the organising committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.
Abisoye Fagade will lead the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. A seasoned marketing communications executive, Fagade is known for his role as founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions.
Adebowale Adedokun has been appointed Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement. Before this role, he contributed as the bureau’s director of Research/Training and Strategic Planning, lending expertise to national procurement standards.
President Tinubu has called on these newly appointed officials to perform their duties with dedication and a commitment to high standards.
