The Kaduna State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) is set to enroll its members in the Kaduna State Contributory Health Scheme.
The announcement was made by Alhaji Aliyu Tanimu, NURTW National Vice President and Kaduna State Chairman, during a visit to the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) at the Ministry of Health complex in Kaduna.
According to Tanimu, the collaboration with KADCHMA aims to ensure that NURTW members and their families can access quality and affordable healthcare at accredited facilities close to their residences. He emphasized that the health scheme would provide significant benefits to members of the union.
In response, KADCHMA’s Director General, Malam Abubakar Hassan, expressed gratitude for the visit and welcomed the partnership. Hassan assured that KADCHMA is open to collaborations with organizations, unions, and development partners to promote health access and improve the well-being of Kaduna State residents.
This move marks a significant step toward improving healthcare access for road transport workers and their families in the state.
