An Israeli drone strike on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left two others injured in the Baalbek district of eastern Lebanon, as reported by Anadolu Agency. Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) identified the location of the attack as the Shaara area in Janta, situated within the Baalbek district near the eastern mountain range of Lebanon.
This attack came despite a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, which was established on November 27. Lebanese authorities have reported over 1,033 breaches of the ceasefire by the Israeli military, with at least 81 fatalities and 279 injuries attributed to these violations.

The ceasefire had been agreed upon to end months of cross-border clashes between Israel and Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance group, which escalated into full-scale conflict in September.
As part of the ceasefire terms, Israel was required to complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by January 26. However, this deadline was extended until February 18 after Israel failed to meet the withdrawal condition. While Israeli forces withdrew from towns in southern Lebanon last week, they still maintain a military presence at five border outposts.
