On Saturday, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), had a private meeting with Rauf Aregbesola, the former interior minister.
At the time this report was filed, it was not possible to determine the specifics of the topics that were covered at the discussion that took place at Aregbesola’s home in Lagos.
Since they were not permitted to speak at the meeting, sources in the NNPP’s Osun State chapter who want to remain anonymous claimed that the politicians talked about matters about national politics.

Omoluabi Progressives, a political organisation supported by Aregbesola, recently declared its intention to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, saying, among other things, that the mainstream APC had victimised them.
There have been conjectures regarding the former governor of Osun State and his supporters’ potential next political move ever since the departure was made public.
Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, the chairman of the Osun NNPP, responded to a question about the meeting’s progress by saying, “The meeting took place at the residence of Aregbesola in Lagos.
“The NNPP is currently the third force in Nigeria’s political landscape, and the party leadership will stop at nothing to restore Nigeria to its former glory.
“The meeting reflected a shared commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and fostering national development.”
