Billy Crystal, Mandy Moore, Anna Faris, and Ricki Lake are among the many Hollywood celebrities affected by the at least four wildfires raging over Los Angeles.
Words cannot express the magnitude of the destruction we are seeing and feeling,” Crystal said in a statement to CNN on Wednesday. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friends and neighbours’ houses and businesses in this disaster.
“I’ve lived in our house since 1979 with Janice. We brought up our kids and grandkids here. Love flooded every square inch of our home. “Amazing memories that are irreplaceable,” he stated.
“Naturally, we are devastated, but we will overcome this with the support of our friends and kids. We offer up prayers for the firefighters and first responders’ safety. We are confident that the Pacific Palisades, a tenacious community of amazing people, will eventually rise once more. We call it home.”
Actor and former talk show host Lake posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday, saying, “It’s all gone,” after losing her “dream home” to the fires.
“It served as our earthly paradise. the location of our intended joint retirement. For a single moment, we never took for granted our divine location on the bluff overlooking our beloved Malibu,” she said.
Lake continued by saying that she and her husband were married three years ago and that she is mourning the “immeasurable” loss of their house.
“On her Instagram feed, Paris Hilton wrote that she saw her Malibu home burn on live television and discovered it was gone, saying the scene is something “no one should ever have to experience.”
“We created a great deal of priceless memories at this house. Phoenix took his first steps there, and that’s where we hoped to create a lifetime of memories with London,” she shared.
“I’m thankful that my family is safe, even if the loss is unbearable. All the families impacted by these fires have my deepest sympathy and prayers.”
Celebrity chef Sandra Lee also claimed that the catastrophe caused her to lose her home.
“Throughout the night, I sobbed and considered every room, nook, and cranny. In an Instagram post, Lee stated, “It was flawless, and now it’s just Ash.
“Please remember to pray for our town, the firefighters, and the first responders. This doesn’t even come close.”
James Woods and Steve Guttenberg, two actors, discussed their experiences navigating the neighbourhood fires on Wednesday morning in an interview with CNN.
On Tuesday night, Mandy Moore, who lives close to the Eaton Fire, shared an update on her Instagram story stating that she and her family of five had safely fled. Moore posted an additional update on Wednesday, lamenting the devastation of her community.
“To be honest, I’m in shock and feeling numb because so many people, including my family, have lost loved ones. The school for my kids is no longer in session.” Moore posted on her Instagram page Wednesday, “Our favourite restaurants, levelled. So many loved ones and friends have also lost everything. Although our community is broken, we will work together to rebuild it.”
According to reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, their home was destroyed in the Palisades fire. Pratt shared a picture of their kids’ burning room on his Instagram page on Wednesday. He said that the fire destroyed both their home and Pratt’s parents’ home.
The Palisades Fire is said to have affected Faris as well. “Anna and her family are safe and very grateful,” a spokeswoman told CNN on Wednesday.
At least two individuals have died, and numerous others have suffered “severe injuries” as a result of numerous large fires in Los Angeles County that were started by strong winds.
County Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone announced Wednesday morning that two citizens had perished in the Eaton Fire, which was raging in East Los Angeles close to Altadena and Pasadena.
At least 1,000 buildings have already been burned by the Palisades Fire, which is raging on the west side of Los Angeles, close to Malibu and Santa Monica. CalFire statistics indicate that it is the most destructive event to ever occur in Los Angeles County.

The Critics Choice Awards were among the Hollywood events that were postponed because of the fires. Critics Choice Awards CEO Joey Berlin announced on Wednesday that the awards ceremony, which was originally scheduled for this Sunday in Santa Monica, has been rescheduled for January 26.
