Super Falcons star and reigning CAF Goalkeeper of the Year, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has signed for Brighton & Hove Albion Women FC.
The club confirmed on Friday that Nnadozie will officially join the team on 1 July, following the expiry of her contract with Paris FC.
Brighton’s women’s head coach, Dario Vidosic, expressed his delight at the signing, noting that the Nigerian international would add composure and confidence to their defensive setup.
Vidosic said, “She’s a talented, commanding goalkeeper who will add consistency and stability to our defence. She’s competed at the highest level, gaining experience in major tournaments, including the Champions League. We believe she’ll bring depth and drive to an already ambitious squad as we build for next season,”

The 24-year-old joined Paris FC from Rivers Angels in January 2020.
She went on to make 118 appearances for the French side, delivering a memorable performance in the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine final, where she saved two penalties against Paris Saint-Germain to secure the trophy for Paris FC.
Between 2022 and 2025, Nnadozie featured 16 times in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
In 2024, she made history as the first African to win the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season award. That same year, she also claimed the D1 Arkema Best Goalkeeper and UNFP Goalkeeper of the Season honours.
During her four seasons with Rivers Angels, she helped the team clinch the Nigeria Women’s Premier League title in 2019, as well as lifting the Nigeria Women’s Cup on three occasions. She was also named IFFHS Africa’s Best Woman Goalkeeper in 2019.
On the international stage, Nnadozie represented Nigeria at Under-17 and Under-20 level before earning her senior debut in April 2018. Since then, she has won 55 caps for the Super Falcons.
