Chelsea are reportedly set to strengthen their attacking options by signing England under-21 international Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, according to reports on Saturday.
Sky Sports revealed that the two clubs, which are both participating in the Club World Cup in the United States, have agreed on the transfer.
The Premier League side is expected to pay up to €65 million (£55 million, $76 million) for the 20-year-old winger, who previously spent time in Chelsea’s youth academy.
Gittens later joined Manchester City’s academy before moving to Dortmund in 2022.
Since then, he has made 107 appearances for the German club, netting 17 goals, including 12 in last season’s Bundesliga and Champions League campaigns.

Chelsea have been looking to enhance their wide attacking options after declining to make Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho’s loan spell at Stamford Bridge permanent.
Additionally, winger Mykhailo Mudryk remains provisionally suspended by the English Football Association following a failed drug test.
If completed, Gittens would become Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer, alongside striker Liam Delap, midfielder Dario Essugo, and defender Mamadou Sarr.
The Premier League club is also set to welcome Brazilian prospect Estevao Willian, 18, who will join following his Club World Cup involvement with Palmeiras.
