Two weeks after his arrest on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and kidnapping, American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been removed from suicide watch.

According to Fox News Digital on September 29, 2024, the singer is no longer under heightened surveillance and can now receive visits from family members.

More than a week ago, Combs, 54, was placed on routine suicide watch, a common procedure for high-profile individuals upon their admission to a federal facility.

Combs was arrested by law enforcement on Monday, September 16, 2024, and charged with sex trafficking, kidnapping, and racketeering. During his court appearance, prosecutors accused him of operating a criminal enterprise since at least 2008, utilizing drugs and violence to compel women to “fulfill his sexual desires.”

Diddy’s legal team filed a $50 million bail request with the federal court, offering his mansion on Miami’s Star Island, valued at $48 million, as collateral, along with his mother’s property to cover the remaining $2 million. However, the court denied his bail request, citing him as a flight risk.

His team also requested house arrest with the condition of “no female visitors,” but this was denied by the judge as well.

If convicted on all three counts, the rapper and record producer could face a sentence ranging from 15 years to life in prison.

Combs’ arrest in Manhattan followed raids on two of his properties in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024, as part of ongoing investigations. During these raids, authorities discovered 1,000 bottles of lubricant and three AR-15 rifles in the hip-hop mogul’s residences. He will remain in custody until his trial begins.
