Christian Eriksen has confirmed he is likely to leave Manchester United when his contract expires in June, saying he is open to new opportunities.
The Danish midfielder has struggled for regular game time since Ruben Amorim took charge last year.
Speaking ahead of Denmark’s Nations League quarterfinal against Portugal, Eriksen revealed that United had not approached him about extending his contract.
“I’m ready to look for something new. That suits me very well,” Eriksen said. “That’s why I assume the collaboration is over. That’s how I interpret it. I’ll wait and see what offers come along. I won’t make a hasty decision, but if the right opportunity arises, I’ll take it.”

The 33-year-old, who famously suffered a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020, has started United’s last two Premier League matches after previously being sidelined from the league since December.
However, he made it clear he did not intend to stay in England.
Eriksen joined United in 2022 following a brief spell at Brentford after leaving Inter Milan due to Italian health regulations that prevented him from playing with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
He has made 99 appearances for United, scoring seven goals.
