    Former Arsenal midfielder and Ghana international Thomas Partey, 32, was charged on Friday with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, UK police have confirmed.

    The charges stem from alleged offences that occurred between 2021 and 2022.

    The Metropolitan Police force stated that the charges “follow an investigation by detectives, which commenced in February 2022.”
