Yaya Toure, a former midfielder for Manchester City and the Ivorian national team, is expected to join the Tottenham academy as a coach.
The former Ivory Coast international received assistance from Spurs with his coaching badges, and he has since earned his UEFA A licence.
The 39-year-old Toure helped City win the Premier League for the first time ever in 2012 and again with them in 2014 and 2018.
The four-time recipient of the African Footballer of the Year award also helped City win the FA Cup and two League Cups.
He departed the team in 2018 and briefly played for Qingdao Huanghai and Olympiacos in China League One.
In 2021, Toure became an assistant coach with Olimpik Donetsk in the Ukraine. Later that year, he moved on to Akhmat Grozny in the Russian Premier League.
Jermaine Defoe, a former striker, is also being talked to by Tottenham about joining their youth program.
