Hollywood star Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles residence was broken into and ransacked on Thursday evening while he was overseas promoting his upcoming racing film F1, according to reports from US media.
The burglary took place at Pitt’s property in the Los Feliz area around 10:30 pm local time, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to NBC News.
While police did not name the owner, multiple sources told NBC and the Los Angeles Times that the house belongs to the Oscar-winning actor.
According to initial reports, three intruders climbed over a fence and entered the property by smashing a front window. They are believed to have looted the home before fleeing with stolen belongings. Authorities have not yet disclosed the value or details of the items taken.

Entertainment outlet Variety reported that Pitt purchased the property in 2023 for $5.5 million.
He is the latest in a growing list of celebrities targeted by burglars in Los Angeles.
Earlier this year, nearly $500,000 worth of jewellery was reported stolen from the home of French footballer Olivier Giroud, who plays for LAFC. In the same month, a house shared by Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban was also allegedly broken into.
