Nigerian Afrobeats star Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has reclaimed the master rights to his debut album New Era from his former record label, G-Worldwide.

The singer announced the milestone on Monday via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating that he has also regained ownership of two early hit singles, Yeba and Sofa.

    He wrote:
“From long nights in the studio to several meditations—finally, I now own every song on the New Era album (2016), plus Yeba and Sofa (singles). I got my masters back. This means more than words can explain. Thank you for riding with me. #NewEra #MyCatalog #Grateful.”

Originally released on May  14, 2016 under G-Worldwide Entertainment, New Era included breakout tracks such as Woju, Laye, and Mama, which played a major role in establishing Kizz Daniel’s prominence in Nigeria’s music industry.

In November 2017, he parted ways with G-Worldwide following contractual disagreements and ensuing legal disputes. This led him to rebrand from ‘Kiss Daniel’ to ‘Kizz Daniel’ in 2018.

Subsequently, he launched his own label, Flyboy I.N.C., and faced a lawsuit from G-Worldwide’s founder, Emperor Geezy. The court later ruled in Kizz Daniel’s favour.

In 2023, in what appeared to be a reconciliatory gesture, Kizz Daniel appointed Emperor Geezy as the Chief Executive Officer of Flyboy I.N.C.
