Officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) have successfully extinguished the fire that erupted at the Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc filling station located on Obafemi Awolowo Road in Ikeja, Lagos.
The fire started at the station at approximately 11:00 am on Thursday during a peak period of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) sales.
The inferno destroyed a gas tanker, as well as numerous cars and buses that were at the location.
At the time of this report, security personnel have already arrived at the scene to redirect both people and vehicles away from the area.
