Libya will host Nigeria’s Super Eagles at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium on Matchday 4 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The match will take place in Benina, located 19 kilometres from Benghazi, as Libya currently sits at the bottom of Group D.
Formerly known as Hugo Chávez Stadium, this venue has a capacity of 10,000 and features an artificial turf surface.
Before their clash in Benina on October 15, both teams will meet on Matchday 3 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on October 11. The match in Uyo is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m., while the encounter in Benina will start at 8 p.m. Nigeria time.
Libya remains at the bottom of Group D after two matches, having drawn 1-1 at home against Rwanda at the Tripoli International Stadium, and suffered a 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic in Abidjan. In contrast, Nigeria leads the group with four points following a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic in Uyo and a goalless draw against Rwanda’s Amavubi in Kigali.
