The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), as part of Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1, carried out targeted airstrikes that eliminated several terrorists in Niger State, assisting ground forces in their efforts against those behind recent assaults.

These operations, conducted between June 24 and 26, 2025, were based on credible intelligence, according to a statement from NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, issued on Friday in Abuja.

“The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1, carried out a series of precision air strikes from 24 to 26 June 2025 in support of ground troops, targeting terrorists behind recent attacks in Niger State,” the statement read.

“The operation demonstrated NAF’s professionalism, rapid response capability, and strong coordination with ground forces and other agencies.”

He stated that the NAF, through collaboration between different services and agencies, had identified terrorist activities linked to attacks and cattle rustling in the communities of Kakihun and Kumbashi. Ejodame emphasised that the NAF is dedicated to safeguarding the lives and properties of all Nigerians and promoting enduring peace throughout the nation.
