    The naira continued to gain against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday.

    Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) showed that the Nigerian currency gained slightly from N1,529.71 exchanged on Monday to N1,529.57 per dollar on Tuesday. This shows that on a day-to-day basis, the naira gained N0.14.

    Naira Gains Against Dollar, Starts July with Fresh Boost

    Meanwhile, at the parallel market, the naira was steady at N1,570 per dollar on Tuesday, the same rate was recorded on Monday.

    This indicates the naira started July on a relatively positive note, having closed June at N1,529.71 in the official foreign exchange market and N1,570 in the parallel foreign exchange market.
