Neymar has been ruled out of Brazil’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina due to a thigh injury that has hampered his return to international football.
The 33-year-old forward, who recently rejoined Santos, had been recalled by coach Dorival Junior but will now sit out the crucial matches as a precaution.
“The return seemed so close, but unfortunately I won’t be able to wear the most important jersey in the world for the moment,” Neymar wrote on Instagram, expressing his disappointment.

With Brazil in fifth place in the South American qualifiers, Real Madrid striker Endrick has been called up as Neymar’s replacement.
Brazil will face Colombia in Brasilia on March 20 before a high-stakes clash against Argentina in Buenos Aires on March 25.
