The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Paul Omotoso, has passed away.

Family members have revealed that the Imesi-Ekiti native, a politician and lawyer, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday following a brief illness.

Omotosho, reported to have been actively engaged in various political meetings earlier in the week, had expressed concerns about his health on Tuesday. Consequently, he was rushed to a government hospital in the state capital, where he ultimately succumbed.

It is noteworthy that the late APC chairman had been abducted by gunmen in July 2023 and was released after spending five days in their captivity.

Omotoso’s demise comes on the heels of the recent passing of Fatai Adams, the Chairman of the Ondo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who died in mid-February.
