The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed Oluwatoyin Taiwo as his new Chief of Staff. Before this appointment, Taiwo served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, and shared with journalists on Thursday.
Akinmade revealed that Governor Abiodun officially handed over the letter of appointment to Taiwo on Wednesday.
The statement added, “The appointment, according to the letter, took effect from 18th December 2024.
“The governor, while congratulating the new Chief of Staff, described the appointment as well-deserved”.
Taiwo previously served as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism during Governor Abiodun’s first term. He was later promoted to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff before his recent appointment as Chief of Staff.
He is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned a B.Sc. in Statistics. Taiwo then pursued further education, eventually obtaining a Ph.D.
