Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has declared three days of mourning and prayers, from Sunday, January 5 to Tuesday, January 7, in honour of the late Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Temitayo Oluwatuyi.
The governor made the announcement during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Akure on Sunday, accompanied by members of the State Executive Council.
Oluwatuyi passed away on Saturday at a hospital in Akure while undergoing treatment, following a road accident in December 2024.
In his condolence speech, Aiyedatiwa described Oluwatuyi as a “recurring decimal in Ondo State politics and governance,” noting that the state’s history would be incomplete without recognising his contributions.
He praised Oluwatuyi’s character, calling him a “complete gentleman” who lived with humility and integrity in both public and private life.
The governor prayed for the repose of Oluwatuyi’s soul and assured the bereaved family of the government’s support during this challenging time.
