OPEC Reports Rise in Nigerian Oil Production to 1.35mbpd

In its September Monthly Oil Market Report, the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) noted a slight increase of 45,000 barrels per day in average daily crude production.

Following a period of decreasing crude oil production, the OPEC report, based on information from the Nigerian government, showed an output of 1.35 million barrels per day (mbpd) in July.

According to the report, crude production declined from 1.28 Mbps in April to 1.25mbpd in May, causing a loss of 30,000bpd.

According to OPEC, Nigeria’s daily oil production improved in April, rising slightly from 1.23 million barrels per day in March to 1.28mbpd.

The organisation reported that Nigeria’s oil production increased by 50,000 barrels daily in April following a recent decline. The nation’s crude production fell from 1.32 million barrels per day in February to 1.23 million in March.
