American lifestyle expert Martha Stewart was recently asked if she hopes to host “Saturday Night Live” during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Her parole officer refused to give her the time to do it, she said to a laughing Fallon. “I wanted to, and they asked me as I was coming out of Alderson, that camp that I was in for a while.”
The comment made the late-night presenter laugh because the “camp” was Stewart’s 2004 imprisonment at Alderson Federal Prison for a stock trade.
Stewart clarified that she may only leave the house for eight hours every day.
Fallon enquired, “And the parole officer said, ‘No?'”
She joked, “No, that bastard!” in response.
That does not imply that she has lost hope.
About hosting, she remarked, “I’d be amazing.” Launch a campaign!
Stewart was given a two-year probationary period and five months in the minimum security prison for impeding an investigation into her sale of ImClone stock.
