Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) extended their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 after being held to a 1-1 draw away to Nantes in a rescheduled fixture on Tuesday night.

Despite the stalemate, PSG remain undefeated in domestic competition this season and edge closer to a potential piece of French football history.

Vitinha had given the Ligue 1 champions the lead in the first half, and it appeared his goal would secure all three points.

However, Nantes struck late, with Brazilian midfielder Douglas Augusto equalising just six minutes from time to earn the hosts a vital point in their battle against relegation.

PSG came agonisingly close to snatching a winner in stoppage time, but substitute Gonçalo Ramos saw his header from a Désiré Doué cross rebound off the bar.

While the result ended PSG’s four-game winning streak, it maintained their remarkable unbeaten domestic record, which now stretches back to May last year.

With just four league fixtures remaining, Luis Enrique’s side are on the brink of becoming the first team to go through a Ligue 1 season without a single defeat.

The closest any side has come was Nantes themselves, who went unbeaten in their first 32 games of the 1994–95 campaign before suffering their only loss en route to the title.

This current Nantes team, meanwhile, moved four points clear of the relegation zone with four matches left to play—three of which will be on home turf, offering hope for survival.

Tuesday’s fixture had originally been scheduled for the weekend of 12–13 April but was postponed to allow PSG additional rest between their Champions League quarter-final clashes with Aston Villa.

The Parisians are now preparing for a crucial Champions League semi-final first leg away to Arsenal next Tuesday.

Before that, they will host Nice in Ligue 1 on Friday, a match that is expected to feature heavy rotation. Against Nantes, Enrique opted to rest key figures, including Achraf Hakimi, while Bradley Barcola and Doué were used from the bench.
