US-British influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate have left Romania for the United States after a Romanian court lifted their travel restrictions, according to local media reports on Thursday.
The brothers departed from Bucharest’s Băneasa Airport on a private flight to Florida.
Romanian prosecutors confirmed that the Tate brothers were no longer required to stay in the country, stating:
“The request to change the obligation of not leaving Romania was approved.”
However, the authorities clarified that the brothers must still comply with legal obligations, including checking in with judicial authorities whenever summoned.
Prosecutors did not disclose who requested the lifting of the travel ban. However, reports suggest that diplomatic pressure from the United States may have played a role.

The Tate brothers have not commented on their departure.
Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested near Bucharest in December 2022, along with two Romanian women, on charges of human trafficking, forming a criminal group to sexually exploit women, allegedly exploiting 34 women in Romania and the UK since 2021.
Despite denying all allegations, the brothers were held in custody for several months before being placed under house arrest and later released under judicial supervision.
In August 2024, Romanian authorities raided multiple properties linked to the brothers as part of the ongoing investigation.
Despite leaving Romania, the Tates still face legal proceedings in both Romania and the UK. While they are now free to travel, they must remain available for questioning and court hearings as required by Romanian authorities.
