Mohamed Salah stressed the importance of securing another Premier League title for Liverpool after his crucial contribution helped them beat Manchester City 2-0 and extend their lead to 11 points at the top of the table.
Salah was instrumental in the victory, scoring the opening goal before setting up Dominik Szoboszlai to double their lead before the break.
With Arne Slot’s side now in a commanding position to claim their 20th English top-flight title, Salah, at 32, revealed the hunger that remains within the team’s core veterans.

“It is incredible. It’s a very hard place to come and play here,” Salah said, reflecting on Liverpool’s first league win at the Etihad in 10 years.
“They are a tough team and they have an incredible manager I am glad in the end we won the game. It is special. Especially when you are in the title race, it is incredible.
“Hopefully we keep calm because sometimes the pressure gets to us.”
With 30 goals and 21 assists this season, Salah has been in extraordinary form, expressing that he’s enjoying his football more than ever despite ongoing speculation about his future.
Alongside Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Andy Robertson, all of whom were part of the squad that ended Liverpool’s 30-year wait for a league title in 2020, Salah emphasised that the veterans are eager for more.
“We need another title. I and the big guys in the team, we need another title,” he added, highlighting his drive to continue building his legacy.
