Vice President Kashim Shettima has voiced hope for Nigeria’s future and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to economic change, national security, and the welfare of all residents.
As the nation gets ready for the new year, Shettima reassured Nigerians in a Christmas greeting on Wednesday that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is determined to address pressing concerns like security and economic difficulties.
“As the year draws to a close, I would like to reassure you that President Tinubu’s administration is still committed to making life better for all Nigerians. We are dedicated to improving the welfare of all citizens and addressing economic transformation,” Shettima stated.
The vice president urged Nigerians to utilise the holiday season to fortify unity across all regions and beliefs, encouraging a culture of cooperation while highlighting Nigeria’s diversity as a strength.
“The greatest strength of our country is its variety. We have the ideal opportunity this holiday season to deepen the ties of fraternity that bind us together,” he said.
Shettima also reassured Nigerians that the country’s security forces would continue to be vigilant, stressing that to maintain safety, security officers would be on high alert during the holiday season.
“Our courageous security guards will keep up their relentless efforts to keep us safe. He advised travellers to exercise caution and stated that “heightened security measures are in place to safeguard citizens during the festive season.”
Shettima expressed optimism and faith in the direction the nation is taking.
“I have a lot of optimism and hope for Nigeria’s future. We will work together to create a more wealthy and cohesive country,” he declared.
Speaking to the young of the country, Shettima underlined their vital role in Nigeria’s growth and described the government’s efforts to provide them with possibilities.
“You young people are the foundation of our country.” The Renewed Hope administration is implementing several programmes to give you the tools you need to prosper and support Nigeria’s development,” Shettima stated.
