The six governors of Nigeria’s South-West region have gathered at the Lagos House in Ikeja for a crucial meeting focused on the region’s development.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is presiding over the session, which has in attendance Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, and Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.

Discussions behind closed doors are centred on key issues affecting the region, including agriculture, food security, economic cooperation, security, and the establishment of the South-West Development Commission.
This latest gathering follows a similar meeting held in June 2024, during which Sanwo-Olu was appointed as chairman of the South-West Governors Forum.
The forum continues to push for initiatives aimed at boosting development and fostering stronger regional collaboration.
