Amazon MGM Studios revealed on Tuesday that the producers of the upcoming James Bond film will be the same ones that produced the “Spider-Man” and “Harry Potter” film franchises.
Amazon took complete creative control of the British spy property last month, and the appointment of David Heyman and Amy Pascal is the first step in their strategy to revive it.
It is anticipated that the producers will have a significant influence on the selection of the next movie’s director and production timetable, as well as who will take Daniel Craig’s place as the incredibly attractive MI6 agent.
The two would “deliver to global audiences storytelling that upholds the impeccable legacy of this beloved character,” according to Courtenay Valenti, the film president for Amazon MGM Studios.
Her work on several “Spider-Man” films, particularly the most recent live-action ones starring Tom Holland, has made Pascal, who once oversaw the large Hollywood company Sony Pictures, most famous.
The Bond series is nothing new to her. Sony Pictures released the 007 flicks “Casino Royale,” “Quantum of Solace,” and “Skyfall” during her time there.

All eight of the cinematic adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” books were produced by British producer Heyman.
The flicks “Barbie,” “Gravity,” and “Paddington” are among his other credits.
Speculation over the next actor to portray James Bond, one of the most well-known characters in movie history, will only grow as a result of the announcement.
The 25th James Bond movie, Craig’s last appearance, “No Time to Die,” came out in 2021 and brought in $775 million.
Currently, Theo James, Henry Cavill, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are seen as the frontrunners.
In 2022, Amazon acquired the distribution rights to Bond’s vast back catalogue from the venerable Hollywood company MGM.
However, the business did not get complete creative control until last month, when it reached an agreement with long-time Bond producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. The transaction was finalised on Monday.
Since “Dr. No.” in 1962, the Broccoli family has been fiercely protective of the franchise. In the wake of Amazon’s acquisition, they notoriously resisted spin-offs and licensing, insisting on maintaining the integrity of the Bond character and brand.
“James Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema,” Pascal and Heyman said in a joint statement.
“We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, who made so many extraordinary films, and honoured and excited to keep the spirit of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure.”
