A new set of Harmonised Terms and Conditions of Service (HTACOS) for officers and enlisted personnel in the Nigerian Armed Forces has been ratified by President Bola Tinubu during a meeting of the National Defence Council that was chaired by the president.
The announcement, made by Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, is geared towards enhancing the welfare of soldiers, ratings, and airmen nationwide.
The updated HTACOS is expected to resolve ‘longstanding issues within the military related to service conditions, refining policies for both officers and enlisted members.’
