    President Bola Tinubu has expressed Nigeria’s unwavering support for Ghana’s newly inaugurated President, John Mahama, at the swearing-in ceremony held in Accra on Tuesday. Tinubu praised Mahama as a leader of vision and integrity, emphasizing that his presidency would usher in a prosperous future for Ghana and strengthen ties with Nigeria.

    Addressing dignitaries, diplomats, and citizens, Tinubu assured Mahama of Nigeria’s commitment to assisting in the realisation of Ghana’s development goals. He emphasised the importance of peaceful dialogue even in times of disagreement and reaffirmed the deep friendship between the two leaders.

    Tinubu stated, “My dear brother, I am here to work with you. You can always count on Nigeria’s support at any given time you call on me. We will work together to bring prosperity to the people of our two nations.”

    The Nigerian leader framed the occasion as a celebration of African unity, calling it a moment of pride for Ghanaians and the entire continent. He also referenced Ghana’s “Black Star” as a symbol of African strength, unity, and hope.
