US President Donald Trump is set to sign his signature tax and spending legislation on Friday during an extravagant Independence Day ceremony that will include fireworks and a flyover by the kind of stealth bomber used in the Iran bombing.
Trump urged Republican legislators to push through his unpopular “One Big Beautiful Bill” in time for him to enact it on the national holiday, and they succeeded with a day to spare on Thursday.
In true showman fashion, Trump will combine a celebratory moment for the bill—which reinforces his ambitious second-term plans—with a large celebration at the White House commemorating 249 years of freedom from Britain.
Trump said that he would hold a signing event at the White House at 4:00 PM (2000 GMT) on Friday, and announced that the pilots involved in the Iran bombing would be among the guests.
“We have the hottest country anywhere in the world today,” the jubilant president told supporters at a rally in Iowa Thursday, where he boasted of a “phenomenal” victory in passing the bill.
“The age of America is upon us. This is a golden age.”
This legislation marks another significant political achievement for Trump, both domestically and internationally, further demonstrating the 79-year-old’s control over the Republican Party and US politics at present.

However, the real estate mogul and former reality TV personality has overlooked significant apprehensions from his party and constituents regarding its potential to increase the national debt and reduce health and welfare assistance.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on Thursday that the event would indeed take place “on the Fourth of July, just as the president always said and hoped it would be.”
First Lady Melania Trump was also expected to participate in the Independence Day celebration. The president’s wife told reporters on Thursday that a B-2 bomber, which is the same type of aircraft that targeted Iran’s nuclear sites on June 22, along with fighter jets, would perform a flyover for the July 4 celebration.
Additionally, Trump informed the crowd in Iowa that the pilots and others involved in the operation would be joining him for the festivities.
