The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, lauded President Bola Tinubu’s significant contributions to transforming Abuja’s landscape, asserting that any “right-thinking person” would acknowledge his administration’s achievements.
During the commissioning of the Kugbo Bus Terminal on Thursday, Wike emphasised the importance of appreciating good work, regardless of political affiliation.
“Even if I don’t like you, if you are doing something good, I appreciate it. Mr. President, you are doing something that has changed the landscape of Abuja,” Wike stated, suggesting that Tinubu’s efforts are crucial for Abuja to “compete like all other cities in the world.”
The minister directly challenged critics, inviting anyone to come forward if they believed the current administration was falsely claiming credit for projects initiated by previous governments.

“If there is any previous government that did this and we are claiming it, please, you all, the public, come out and say, ‘No, we were the ones who did it; they are just claiming,'” he dared, noting that since his similar challenge yesterday, “nobody has said anything.”
Wike reiterated that all 17 projects lined up for the president’s attention are tangible and not mere claims.
He underscored that these developments are for the benefit of the public, transcending party lines. “It doesn’t matter the party you belong to; it is not Mr. President that will use it; it is for the public,” he affirmed.
Wike concluded by highlighting President Tinubu’s direct involvement in approving these projects as the chairman of the Federal Executive Council, indicating his interest in the welfare of Abuja residents.
