President Bola Tinubu inaugurated his 45-member cabinet on Monday after they were screened by the Senate. Among the ministers-designate is Professor Tahir Mamman, aged 69, who was sworn in as the Minister of Education by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola.

- He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from Ahmadu Bello University in 1983.
- His pursuit of knowledge led him to achieve MSc and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Warwick, England.
- With a heart for family, he is a proud father of nine children.
- As the first Senior Advocate of Nigeria from Adamawa State, he holds the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger.
- He contested the Adamawa State governorship election in 2014 under the All Progressives Congress.
- Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Vice Chancellor at Baze University, Abuja, a private tertiary institution founded in 2011.
- He displayed leadership as the Director General of the Nigerian Law School from 2005-2013.
- Honouring tradition, Mamman holds chieftaincy titles including Dan Ruwata Adamawa Emirate and Dokajin Mubi of Adamawa State.
