Ten people were killed in a bus accident en route from Johannesburg to Zimbabwe on Wednesday morning.
The accident left more than 30 others injured, with 12 in critical condition.
The bus reportedly drove over a roundabout—the last traffic circle from Makhado towards Polokwane—at high speed, causing the driver to lose control. The bus overturned, resulting in the deaths and injuries of its passengers.
The bus driver is allegedly new on the job and unfamiliar with the route.
Earlier this year, a bus crash near Mokopane in Limpopo resulted in the deaths of 45 Botswana nationals. The bus was transporting commuters from Botswana to Moria when the driver lost control, causing the bus to overturn.
