The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) has received 148 Nigerian citizens from Niger Republic who had left the country to seek refuge.
The successful arrival of the returnees was made possible by the IOM, the government of the Netherlands, and Nigeria’s refugee agency.
The returnees, which consist of 81 adults and 67 children, arrived Nigeria via the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos on Tuesday.
They refugees from Niger Republic were received by the IOM, the Migrants and Internal Displaced Persons (NEMA), the Nigeria Immigration Service, and the National Commission for Refugees.
