15 Killed In Soweto Bar Weeks After Teenagers Death At Nightclub

At least fifteen people have been killed in a bar in South Africa’s Soweto. The mass murder of the people has come weeks after 21 dead bodies were recovered from Enyobeni Tavern.

Most of the persons found dead were teenagers in an incident that has continued to raise some dust about security in South Africa.  They were committed to earth in a mass burial.

The bar shooting has seen the Police trying to track possible links between both attacks.

Another shooting happened at Pietermaritzburg, in the KwaZulu-Natal province on Saturday night as two died on the spot.

Two more people were also found dead later in the hospital. Local Police Spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala said two persons came into the bar and fired shots randomly at the patrons.

“A total of 12 people were shot. Two people were declared dead at the scene and the other two died in hospital,” he said.

“Another eight people are still in hospital after they sustained injuries.”

The mass murder at Soweto also came from random shooting according to a Police statement. It came while locals were drinking in the bar.

“When we arrived at the scene, 12 people were dead with gunshot wounds,” police officer Nonhlanhla Kubheka said.

Eleven people were taken to the hospital for urgent medical attention but three of them died later. The Police said those killed were between the ages of 19 and 35.

The mystery behind these night deaths in South Africa has left locals worried as to their safety and about their young men and women who have become targets of random murderers.
