The Federal Government of Nigeria has blamed the media and “unpatriotic citizens” for Twitter’s choice of Ghana over Nigeria for its continental headquarters.

Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed believes that with about 25 million users, against Ghana’s eight million users, Nigeria should have been Twitter’s choice for headquarter location.

He notes the development would serve as a lesson for Nigerians to be patriotic in managing the image of the country.
