Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed Meets Newly Appointed Ministers

Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed has sworn in Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia as acting Minister of Economy, Finance and Investment Support. Nizar Ben Neji also took his oath as acting Minister of Communication Technologies in an event on Monday for the appointed ministers, at the Palace of Carthage.

During his meeting with Boughdiri Nemsia, President Kaïs Saïed took swipe at former minister Ali Kooli while stressing the need for maintaining fiscal justice.

To Ben Neji and other appointed Ministers, he emphasised on “the neutrality of the public service” and “the importance of the Ministry of Communication Technologies“, speaking of ” abuses in recent years, including the listening devices.

The President had on Monday, issued decrees dismissing Minister of Economy, Finance and Investment Support Ali Kooli, and appointing Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia as acting minister in the same ministry.

He also sacked by decree Minister of Communication Technologies and Digital Economy and acting Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Fadhel Kraiem, and appointed Nizar Ben Neji as acting Minister of Communication Technologies.
