Tanzania Appoints New Ambassador to USA (News Central TV)

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Elsie Sia as Tanzania’s new ambassador to the United States of America. She will be sworn in alongside other appointees on August 21, at State House, Dar es Salaam.

She made other appointments including the Retired Chief Justice Mohammed Chande Othamn who has been appointed dean of the University of the Land (ARU).

In a statement issued today, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 by the Director of Presidential Communications, State House Jaffar Haniu President Samia also appointed Professor Elisante Ole Gabriel as the Chief Executive of the Judiciary of Tanzania. Prior to this appointment, Professor Ole Gabriel was Permanent Secretary Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries.
