Former Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye, was on News Central TV’s flagship program – Village Square Africa on Wednesday, 25th August 2021, for a conversation with Sulaiman Aledeh, on the VSA series – Finding Nigeria’s Next President.
The former Lawmaker in the 8th Assembly stated that the PDP remains Nigeria’s ONLY hope. He said:
“The APC is responsible for the state of the nation, ineptitude, and maladministration. Even the PDP can not find its way with the current electoral bill. Without the electoral amendment, electronic transmission, we cannot have a viable and credible electoral poll.”
The Nigerian Politician stated that Buhari’s Administration failed woefully and gave them an ‘F9 parallel’ scorecard. In his words;
“I am yet to see one part of our national life that is better under Buhari.”
Melaye in his description of Nigeria’s ruling party emphasized that APC is an NGO and not a political party. Reason being that all the ingredients of a political party are missing in APC.
The former senator who lost the Kogi West senatorial district to Smart Adeyemi of APC in 2019, said he was scammed by the Buhari campaign in 2015 when he wept in Kaduna and how he made promises to Nigerians.
“We promised food and security, all the farm lands have been taken over by herdsmen and bandits. We promised we will build strong individuals, we promised we will build this countries unity but the country is more divided!”
He also claimed that APC did NOT actually win the last general election:
“Atiku won the last election but Buhari was declared the winner. Buhari’s performance is beautiful nonsense.”
In an attempt to proffer a solution to the decay in the Nigerian system, Dino Melaye said:
“It is not the best of times in Nigeria. We need the experience of the likes of Atiku to get us out. The only hope for Nigeria is PDP!”
