Gunmen Kidnap 18 Villagers in Kaduna, Nigeria

At least 18 persons have been kidnapped in Keke, a community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria

Eyewitnesses said gunmen came in large numbers, invaded the community around 12midnight after causing confusion in the area, they kidnapped 18 people.

It was gathered that the police are present in the area. There is, however, no official confirmation from the authorities as to the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige said he would inquire and revert.

Bandits have been ravaging Kaduna also in a string of attacks on the North-West states particularly.

The state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Samuel Aruwan had confirmed some of the affected communities to include Ungwan Magaji, Kigam, Kisicho, and Kikoba villages.
