Rwanda’s President Kagame, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Discuss Bilateral Relations

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces, met with President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, who is in the UAE for the 14th World Policy Conference (WPC) and discussed bilateral relations.

The WPC is being held from October 1 to 3, 2021.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed greeted the Rwandan President and his delegation, emphasizing that the UAE’s focus on Rwanda and the African continent as a whole is based on cooperation, joint work, and investment in available opportunities for the sake of development, welfare, and peace for all.

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations in a variety of domains, including the economy, commerce, investment, and other areas.

Sheikh Mohammed and Kagame discussed matters of mutual interest on a regional and global scale. They also discussed the WPC’s core topics and challenges, as well as the importance of supporting prosperity and stability at the regional and global levels.

Among those who attended the meeting were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC); Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council; Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, and Hazaa Mohammed Khorsan Al-Qahtani, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Rwanda.
