Notable Nigerian Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Bamba, is Dead (News Central TV)

Kano-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Ibrahim Bamba, popularly known as Dr Ahmad BUK, has passed away at the age of 82.

The late scholar died on Friday January 7, 2022 at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.

One of the scholar’s sons – Ahmad Muhammad Ahmad announced the cleric’s death on Facebook.

He was a lecturer at the department of Arabic language in Bayero University Kano before he resigned to focus fully on his Islamic propagation school known as Darul Hadith at Tudun Yola in Kano.

Funeral prayers were held at the Darul Hadith Mosque, Tudun Yola, Kano metropolis, by 1.30pm.

The event was attended by notable clerics, political leaders and ordinary persons. He was buried at Dandolo cemetery, Goron Dutse Kano city, on Friday afternoon.
