Gunmen Abduct 15 in Niger State, Nigeria

No fewer than 15 persons have been abducted by unknown Gunmen in Niger State, Nigeria

The Niger State Command, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday.

Wasiu Abiodun disclosed that the criminals had stormed the remote community via Ibbi in Mashegu Local Government Area and also rustled a yet-to-be known number of cattle.

They were also said to have broken into a provision shop at Kawo Village.

The PPRO noted that a team of police/vigilantes have been drafted to the area for the search and rescue of the abducted victims.
