Mauritius Telecom Boosts SME Sector with MyT Start-Up

Mauritius Telecom (MT) today launched its MyT Start-Up offering, designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, in Port-Louis to boost the growth of the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector. MT has also made several interesting changes to its Business Boost packages in order to provide even more benefits and quality services to small companies.

Chief Executive Officer of MT, Sherry Singh, who was present at the launch, emphasised that the purpose of the partnership is to help promote the SME sector, especially during the pandemic.  SMEs, he added, account for around 50% of employment in Mauritius, as well as 36% of the nation’s GDP.

To enhance performance, he said, businesses need creativity and connectivity. According to him, small businesses are more likely to adapt and react to new opportunities, which is why MyT needs to constantly deliver innovative products and services to clients.
