Fireboy’s hit single ‘Peru’ has hit Gold in the United Kingdom for selling more than 400,000 copies of the globally-acclaimed record.
The Nigerian musician had a collaboration of Peru with English singer Ed Sheeran, and has given the song a wide replay value on international radio stations and across music streaming platforms.
According to the certificate presented to Fireboy DML, the award was to recognise the “sales in the United Kingdom in excess of 400,000 copies of the ‘Peru’ by Empire and YBNL in loving memory of Jamal Edwards.”
The song had charted Gold more than ten days ago but a certificate officially recognises the latest achievement by the musician.
Fireboy DML also had a remix of Peru with 21 Savage and Blxst in what has become a global success and probably the Nigerian’s biggest song yet.
The YBNL-signed artiste has also intimated about his upcoming album and single, Playboy.
