Troops of Operation Desert Sanity on clearance patrol in Sambisa Forest, Borno State, have uncovered the wreckage of crashed Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) that went off the radar with 2 crew members on 31 March 2021.
The Nigerian Air Force, NAF had on Thursday April 1, announced that one of its Alpha Jets on a mission to support ground troops in Borno, North-East Nigeria has lost radar contact
In a statement on by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the plane was “on routine mission in support of own troops at one of the Theatres of Operation in the Northern part of Nigeria.”
